Daily Distance Learning for April 23rd

Thursday, April 23rd.
Zoom Meeting (10:00am) – think about yesterday’s story, “Going on a Lion Hunt.” Be prepared to tell me if you would or would not want to go on a Lion Hunt and why or why not.  Remember, be ready to listen and wait your turn.

Language Arts Listen to “Dot the Fire Dog”
Who were the heros in the story?  (Dot and the Fireman)
List some heros in our community. (for example: police officers, doctors, grocery store workers, etc.)
What are some characteristics of heros?  (never give up, they keep trying, they are brave)
Draw a community hero doing something brave.  Have an adult help you label your drawing.
Handwriting Packet:
Use the Number Stories to help you write numbers 1-10.  Be sure you are forming your numbers correctly (especially 8 – it is tricky – hint, begin with a magic c)

Math – practice following multi-step directions, shapes, and position words.
Follow along with me as I draw a Yacht.  You will need a sheet of paper and a black crayon.

Complete the art activity from the C-Teacher Bingo Game
