Discuss the difference between the seasons and weather.  Can you have a sunny day in winter?  Can you have a rainy day in summer?

Can your child tell you if the following words are a season or a type of weather?

Math -

Number Recognition and Writing

Make number flash cards – use index cards or paper to make number flash cards.  Have your child write numbers 0-10 (one number on each flash card).  When they are finished mix them up and see if he can put the numbers in order.  Keep these – we will use them again tomorrow.

 Bible –

Countdown to Easter beginning with Palm Sunday – read Luke 19:28-40

Make (or find something to pretend with) a palm branch and wave it like the people did when Jesus entered Jerusalem.  Shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Print and color (or draw your own) picture of the children waving palm branches.
