Daily Distance Learning for May 6th

Wednesday, May 6th
Handwriting – Xx page - use a pencil or crayon to draw the picture with Mrs. Carol.

Language Arts – On YouTube watch the story of “The Little Engine that Could.”
The Little Blue Engine was not the biggest or the strongest engine in the story.  The Little Blue Engine made it over the hill because she kept trying and trying, and she never gave up.  Think of a time when you did not give up on something you tried to do.    Illustrate your experience and write “I THINK I CAN.”
Use your letter flash cards to review letter A-Z and letter sounds.

Social Studies – Think about what kind of job you would like to do when you grow up.  Our community is full of lots of helpers.  These helpers need to have PERSISTENCE when their job becomes hard.  Talk with an adult you know about his/her job.  What are some other characteristics they need to do their job well.
Watch “Community Helpers for Kids” and play along.
Draw a picture of what you would like to be when you grow up and save it to put in your Memory Book next week.
